On 28th August 1944, Blessed Alphonsus Maria Mazurek of the Holy Spirit, a priest and martyr of the Carmelite Order was arrested by Nazi soldiers. He was Shot briefly afterwards and died soon after, with his rosary in his hands. His liturgical feast day is June 12.
