\nto stand along my eastern sky and be
\na drift of sunrise over God and me.<\/p>\n
\nYet for our weakness and our punishment
\nHe hides Himself in midnights that prevent
\nall save the least awarenesses of Him.<\/p>\n
\nno stir of what we clamored to believe.
\nYet I say: God (if one may jest with God),
\nYour hiding has not reckoned with Our Lady<\/p>\n
\nlights up my inner landscape, high and low.
\nAll my soul\u2019s acres shine and shine with her!<\/p>\n
\nout of the dark of Your Divine surprise!
\nYour own reflection has revealed Your place,<\/p>\n
